Effusive; sweet fruit with Dawson cherry and rhubarb notes with some earthy complexity. A joy to drink, this wine charms with its polished structure and lush mid palate. The finish has seriously integrated, delicate mineral coated tannins. There is a sense of complete and reconciled balance as the tannins temper silkily the succulence of the fruit.
2011 vintage presented us a long growing season allowing the fruit to ripen well and catch the best of the late autumn sun. Hawkshead Pinot Noir is aged for 11 month in French oak barrels. Drinking beautifully now, and can be cellared for 5-7 years
