The slightly slower ripening of vines in the Gibbston Valley enhances the development of colour and flavour. Gibbston wines shine through intense floral, perfumed notes and hints of sweet spice.
These older vines deliver a complex wine. It displays elegant aromatics of rich red raspberries, freshly picked cherries, subtle sweet spices and lingering notes of rosehip and wild rose. It has a lively, lithe, and an energetic palate; with layers of delicate, delicious, rich red fruit, well integrated subtle French oak and underlying savoury notes.
The wine is fermented naturally. Aged for 11 months in French oak barrels (30% new).
